The Summit Lighthouse—Who Are We


This morning we spoke about the challenge of the four quadrants of Matter, of the four lower bodies, and the intrusion—the thrusts of Antichrist—into those four lower bodies. We see very clearly that this is our challenge, this is our responsibility for a lifetime. The Ascended Masters, the Great White Brotherhood, and the Darjeeling Council have also seen this plight, this dilemma, and they have offered a solution. I have come this afternoon to present to you the Ascended Masters' solution to the challenge.

If you would draw a circle and divide it into four quadrants, I will show you the diagram and
the plan for world action, which we are going to present to you in a fuller outline in the two-day leadership seminar. But for all of you who have newly come into the teachings and are desirous of seeing how we can take Apollo's flame and carry the torch into action, I will give the outline
in the next hour.

The Father: The Summit Lighthouse

The Summit Lighthouse was conceived in the heart of Morya, the Chief of the Darjeeling Council. He contacted his representative Mark L. Prophet in 1958, after having trained him since a child, and said, "Go to Washington, D.C., and found The Summit Lighthouse!"

The founding of The Summit Lighthouse was the first step in the master plan. Morya had the cosmic conception. And as all cycles begin at the 12 o'clock line, he began there at the point of God the Father, the Impersonal Impersonality, with The Summit Lighthouse, designed to be that organization which would publish the teachings of the Ascended Masters.

In other words, The Summit Lighthouse was founded to set forth the law, cosmic law, for the Aquarian cycle. The Ascended Masters would use it as a forum for the Lawgiver. Later Summit University Press was inaugurated as a department within The Summit Lighthouse to distribute our books nationally and internationally on a wholesale basis. Today hundreds of book stores distribute the teachings of the Ascended Masters.

The Son: Montessori International and Summit University

We have labored many years together setting forth that law, writing and publishing; and at this time the Word has gone forth over the face of the earth. Many, many souls have taken up that teaching. The time came, however, when the law itself and the torch of the Father should be passed to the Son. And so on the 3 o'clock line the inspiration of the Christ flame, that focal
point of the Impersonal Personality of the Christ, was taken up in the founding of educational institutions that would teach the law, demonstrate the understanding of the law; for this is the office of the Son of God.

The bursting forth of the flame of illumination, then, in the mental quadrant, the second quadrant of the circle, manifested first as Montessori International. This was the school that Mark and I founded in Colorado Springs in 1970; we held it in our retreat there. At its zenith, Montessori International had almost one hundred students from preschool (age 2-1/2) through the eighth grade.

We had one of the most fantastic programs that has ever been devised: foreign language
programs, skiing, science experiments for little children in the early grades, language training, even Latin for fourth graders. We had a class where Spanish was spoken exclusively with English only to assist the child to learn Spanish.

We consider our Montessori school the most vital activity on the line of the Christ, which forms a part of our fourfold effort. Now second to that, Gautama Buddha came in his 1973 New Year's Address and delivered into my hand "a torch charged with the vital fires from God's heavenly altar and the conveyance of a vast mission to illumine the world's children and produce the blessing of true culture to the age and unto all people everywhere."

That flame of the Buddha was passed to me as a torch, and I have been running with it ever since. As a result of this dispensation, at the Freedom '73 conference we announced the opening of the doors of Summit University. Summit University and Montessori International, on the 3 o'clock line, are the institutions which will carry forward the statement of the law that has been given through The Summit Lighthouse.

I'd like you to notice that the statement of the law is that which defeats the dragon. It sets the blueprint for a golden age; it exposes the Liar and the lie; it exposes the accuser of the brethren. This is the purpose of The Summit Lighthouse—to set the etheric blueprint and to withdraw the power of the dragon. On the 3 o'clock line, the institutions of learning restore the Christ consciousness to mankind. They defeat the Antichrist and the beast that comes out of the sea and the beast that comes out of the earth.

It is one thing for the law to be stated in books; but as you well know, we have schools upon the planet because people need to be taught what is in the books. The teaching has to be made alive by good teachers; and we have the finest in the cosmos—the ascended masters—and
they do illumine their own pages.

And they are continually dictating. Whenever I take the platform at Summit University, one or another of the ascended masters is giving enlightenment on a vast host of subjects. The most thrilling thing is to have a student ask a question and an ascended master answer the question. When you're a student and that happens to you, you will know what a thrill it is.


The Mother: Church Universal and Triumphant

Now, with these first two quadrants covered in an organizational manner, functioning and reaching out, we come to the line of the Mother, to the holding of the Mother flame at the 6 o'clock
line. This is the line of further expansion of the masters' work at the organizational level. John
the Revelator had the vision. He beheld the New Jerusalem coming out of heaven as a bride adorned for her husband. This is a most fantastic conception of the Cosmic Virgin! He's speaking about a New Jerusalem, a City Foursquare, and in the same sentence it is "a bride
adorned for her husband."

The Bride that is adorned for the Father is the Cosmic Mother, and it has ever been in the tradition of world religion that the Church is the Bride of the Holy Spirit. The Church is the feminine aspect. The Church represents the squaring of the circle. The New Jerusalem is the City Foursquare. It is the squaring of the Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Church comes forth so that the Mother flame can be enshrined upon the altar; and with the Mother flame enshrined upon the altar, the Church is the magnet that draws the children of God back to the ritual of ordered service and worship whereby they pass through the gate of the victory of the ascension.

The statement of the law and the teaching of the law could not be complete without organization in the Mother flame, which is the Church. Accordingly, the ascended masters made the announcement over the last two years, in many dictations and documents that we have
received, of the founding of what is to be known as Church Universal and Triumphant.

The vision of the Church was given to me as I saw beloved Jesus the Christ in heaven standing at the altar of a mighty cathedral. And I saw assembled by the thousands those whom we call the saints—those souls at the etheric level and above in the ascended octaves who form that part of God which is known as the body of God in heaven.

And Jesus revealed to me that it was time for that Church, that conception as a cosmic conception, to be lowered into manifestation. The time had come because the cycles had
turned. The time had come because disciples had made themselves ready.

And so Jesus appointed me to inaugurate this Church; and he placed upon me the mantle of the Vicar of Christ, which means simply the representative of Christ. Mother Mary was the head of the Church when Jesus left. It is the Mother flame that is the center of the Church.

And subsequent to that anointing, which took place several years ago, we received the dictation from the ascended master Pope John XXIII, who, as the Vicar of Christ, came forth in February of 1974 to announce that it was time for the Church Universal and Triumphant to be formally inaugurated, to have legal status in the world, to have a set of articles and bylaws and a formal
board of directors and categories of members and communicants.

The dictation in which he outlined this is included in a Keepers of the Flame Lesson. When you arrive at that lesson, you will be able to read it in its entirety. He said in this dictation that the Church Universal and Triumphant was to be the feminine aspect of our mandala. It was to be
the nucleus and the white-fire core of those devotees who had a more than ordinary desire to be devoted, to become part of the ritual of the true Church, participating in the sacraments to be dictated by beloved Jesus, who would accept a body of tenets, who would bind together and form the cosmic cube.

He explained that although The Summit Lighthouse had been functioning as the Church, as the
Father aspect, it was like the white sphere; and the wholeness of Alpha and Omega as the whole sphere would now be divided in twain. Now the Alpha-to-Omega would function in polarity as The Summit Lighthouse, representing the Father of God, and Church Universal and Triumphant,
representing the Mother of God.

So The Summit Lighthouse would be, as it always has been, the publishing arm; the Church would be the house, the cosmic cube to receive the children of God and the place where those who would undergo the disciplines of the Mother would then be able to take the initiations step by step—through the sacraments, through the holy orders—of ascending in consciousness, in vibration, and preparing for the ascension.

Church Universal and Triumphant is a circular stairway that we take step by step. It presents the outline of the thirty-three initiations that are required of everyone who takes the ascension. And it presents a nucleus, an order, a foundation whereby we can take our families, our loved ones, our children, and give them the training that is necessary.

Just as the Mother flame is not the first thing that we discover when we come into the teachings, so Church Universal and Triumphant is not that which is most obvious about the work of the Great White Brotherhood. Rather, it represents the fiery core, the inner devotees—those who hold the flame of the Mother and are concerned with the raising of the culture of Lemuria and being part of the body of God on earth and who are willing to undergo the disciplines to so become.

It is Church Universal and Triumphant that sounds the death knell to the great whore, to the total organization of the misuse of the feminine ray on the planet. I am very pleased to report, then, to this company that on the anniversary of Saint Germain's ascension, on May 1, 1975, Church Universal and Triumphant was officially incorporated and has status as a corporation in the United States of America.


The Holy Spirit: Keepers of the Flame Fraternity

Completing the four quarters of the circle, we look to the 9 o'clock line to see who will carry the flame of the Holy Spirit, who will undo the teachings of the false prophets, the false hierarchies. This is the line of the Keepers of the Flame. The Keepers of the Flame are those who keep the
flame of life, which is the flame of the Holy Spirit. The Keepers of the Flame Fraternity has been the fraternity of Saint Germain within The Summit Lighthouse since the early 1960s.

The obligations in the Keepers of the Flame Fraternity are simply to study the lessons, to practice them, to apply them, and to offer to Saint Germain regular monthly dues of three dollars to support the publishing through The Summit Lighthouse. The Keepers of the Flame represent that body of the Lord which goes forth to contact the masses through the Holy Spirit.

A Place for You in the Four Aspects of the Circle

We see that in each quadrant, hierarchy has answered, hierarchy has given forth the counterpoint to each attempt of the fallen ones to usurp the planes of Mater. Now, for each and every one of you, there is a niche, there is a place, there is a time and a place for you to find yourself in each one of these planes.

The first contact a person has with the ascended masters' teachings is normally through something published by The Summit Lighthouse—a book or a pamphlet.

"We represent the peoples of all nations, the mechanics, the farmers, the teachers, those of the professions, the builders, the shopkeepers, the homemakers, all who share the American dream. We have the dedication and the foresight to set aside some of our private interests for the greater good of Community that we might hold dear a land such as this that we can call 'Home.'

"'This land is my land' personally and collectively!

"We have done this and we know that because we have done it people all over the world who are rising with the rising star of Aquarius, beloved Saint Germain, can also do it. They can come together on their own properties to worship in their own way as they follow the Inner Voice and discover, as we have discovered, what is important to them in their religious worship.

" . . . Here we understand that by mutual creativity and reinforcement we can have the best benefits for ourselves and our families educationally, spiritually, and in the pursuit of what is most important to us—a way of life in the service of our Lord, the performance of his Work and the publishing of his Word as we daily endeavor to put it into practice together.

" . . . If we do not do it, if we do not take our ultimate stand for freedom today, I can assure you that none others coming after us will have the spiritual fire nor the example to achieve it. That is the mark we make in this day. And we must make it."

"Blessed hearts, even those institutions greatly revered, such as the Catholic Church itself, must come under the scrutiny of the heavenly octave. And one must not retain the idolatrous consciousness that merely because a dispensation was given that therefore the human mind itself is invulnerable or cannot become [vulnerable], then, corroded and corrupted by vice entering therein.

"It is the Church itself as the universal Mystical Body of God that stands in all ages in all time and space gainst which the gates of hell shall not prevail. But human institutions rise and fall. And when a human institution is no longer a vehicle for the ongoing cycles of the Eternal One, then we must find another chalice—yea, not only find it but raise it up, forge it, create it and then, fashioning the most noble crystal chalice, pour into it the new wine that will not be taken by the old bottles of an orthodoxy that has been corrupted by the machinations of those very fallen ones of whom you have spoken this day.

"The entering in, then, into the company of the saints of this false doctrine and dogma must be perceived not as that which is the [Teaching of the] eternal Hierarchy nor the descent of the divine revelation [of the Holy Ghost] nor of the apostolic commission of my very own Son. But, blessed hearts, realize that it is upon the Rock of the individual Christ Self [of every member of the Mystical Body of God] and not upon the flesh-and-blood consciousness of Peter or of his successor that the rising or the falling of the Church must rest. Would we, then, place something so divine as the institution in heaven and on earth of the Mystical Body of God in the fragile chalice of the human will or human frailty? I tell you nay!

"The Rock of the Church lives today in the hearts of those who are its true saints both within and without its ranks East and West and even those who may be devotees of Zarathustra or of the Lord Confucius. For that [Body] which consists of the true and the faithful ones of God is [truly that Universal Church which maintains] oneness [in the Spirit] with the Lord [Jesus] Christ [and the saints in heaven]. And that name, the name of the living Saviour, as the rose by any other name that smells as sweet, must be perceived as something vastly more cosmic and universal than the mere manifestation of [the Christ by] a single individual, even though that individual [be the World Saviour and his] name be Jesus.

"Understand that the Christ of Jesus is greater than the man or manifestation but is the universal Presence of the Son of God—his own divine identity appearing and reappearing in the avatars of all ages. Understand [that] it is the quality of the heart’s devotion and the [one-pointedness of souls] and the penetration of that [Christ] Light [within their spirits] that comprises the Universal Church. And therefore let us be free even of the idolatry of an institution, as some have entered into the idolatry of the Lord Christ—which is to say, looking after the very limited matrix of definitions prescribed by a doctrine that was not truly dictated by him nor received by the Holy Spirit but rather construed [by a false hierarchy who] in their fear of the loss of [members sought to control them by fear through a false doctrine and dogma].

"And those appointed to be shepherds of my sheep therefore must not contrive doctrines out of fear and then justify the end by the means or the means by the end. For these justifications result in corruption, in self-deception, and ultimately the withdrawal of the mighty Truth of reincarnation, of [the] preexistence [of the soul], of the law of karma, and of the fall of the angels and the raising up of the saints, whose hour is come to judge those very [fallen] angels who have been their overlords for many, many ages.

"Therefore, let the Church be understood as the white cube that is at the very heart and base of the threefold flame of Life. Let the individual recognize himself as the living Church. For not a cathedral nor an institution but a heart that beats one with the heart of God, this is my definition of Church. And this is the altar where I worship the one God—the altar of the heart that beats in the living Son in embodiment, the altar where the supreme sacrifice of self is day by day making its mark for the victory of the total Body of God.

"Such a sacrifice is not too great for me to ask of you because it is not too great for you to make. For you have already come this far to pursue that point of Reality. You have already said, “I will give all that I AM to discover the grain of Truth, the single grain which when assimilated will result in my own instantaneous cosmic awareness of self.”

"Yes, this grain of Light is the [nucleus] of [the] seed atom of the soul. Yes, this point of Light is available! And that sudden realization of inner Godhood can come to you when the fetters of the outer coils and conditions of life are cast aside. Because you stand fearless! Because you know the Lord thy God liveth! Because you know there is an inner design and matrix and there is a point of identity that will endure beyond the rise and fall of the Roman Empire and of Babylon the Great and of all of the fallen ones and the seed of the wicked! [Because] you know that the real identity of self within you shall endure and [therefore] you cleave to the Rock—the Rock that is higher than the I that affirms the Rock!

" . . . You see, the assignment of God is not so simple as to stop with your own self-mastery lest this become a preoccupation, reinforcing pride and even spiritual ambition. But the assignment of our God is for the mandala of souls of Light comprising a Community all its own [to be God-victorious in the mutuality of mercy’s flame and self-transcendence]."

"We see what the knowledge of the Spirit and the teachings of the Ascended Masters thus far published have done for those who were reaching for the Light and yet needed the steady hand and the protection of the Brotherhood. We have seen such advances and such acceleration of Light in this age that it gives us pause. And we must therefore concern ourselves with the ways and means of intensifying the publishing arm of this activity; for so many are ready and they take the first fruit offered, so many times from the false guru, or else simply accept half truths, not seeking farther."

"The one thing I would like to eliminate from us once and for all is the sense of 'us' and 'you'. The only difference between what we're talking about as 'us' and 'you' is the frequency [actual vibratory frequency of energy] of our polarity.

"The headquarters by nature has the polarity of Spirit. The field, the teaching centers, [and] the individual Keepers of the Flame have the polarity of Matter, making a plus-minus interaction and a tremendous flow of Alpha and Omega. Alpha and Omega never say 'we' and 'you'—they always talk about 'us'. They are the Divine Us. They are one. They are the Father-Mother God. They are one andinseparable. From that Divine Us America has received her name, the U.S. We are the nation for the Divine Us.

"So this entire work of the century is 'us'—us together. And the concept is that for the purposes
of acting out our roles in the great drama of life some of us have to be the Spirit and some of us have to be the Matter. Well, the difference in vibration is like the difference between man and woman—there's quite a difference in polarity. And from that point we get to the we and the you
(or the us and the you—whatever we're saying that's divisive). And that's precisely the divide-and-conquer tactics of the fallen ones.

"They always try to divide Alpha and Omega, the North and the South (the alpha and omega of the United States), the families, mother and father—[to] separate them. Destroy the [unity of] father and mother and you destroy the child. Destroy our unity as Father and Mother and we destroy the birth of the Manchild that we're going to bring forth. As you know, we're carrying that Manchild as Mary carried the Manchild. and we're looking for a room in the inn. that's 'us' —Joseph and Mary, all of us together.

So we are one, and the more we realize this, the less we will be tricked into some kind of competition over funds, over different activities, over division of sevices or even a division of goals. So I hope you'll think about this—and when you think of headquarters you'll say 'us' instead of 'them.'

"And truly I tell you that the founding fathers of this activity, who were present in Philadelphia on August 7, 1958, are here again this day. And they are the Masters who have truly formed that great alliance with me as members of the Darjeeling Council, and they did stake their lives and Causal Bodies upon this effort and upon the Messenger and the few who did gather with him.

"Therefore there came Archangel Michael with magnificent protection, representing the Archangels. And this protection surely must be invoked from its inception to this hour; for it is the momentum of this thirty-three-year spiral that we would see anchored in the physical octave come next year. Understand this, my beloved.

"Understand that Elohim Peace came representing the Mighty Elohim of God that you might keep the peace as watchmen on the wall of the Lord and the wall of the world. Therefore dedicate your hearts this day anew to holding that flame of peace while there is the raging of war in the earth.

"There did come, beloved, that Saint Germain, even the hierarch of Aquarius, to endow with his momentum of all ages and ages to come that little band that has become almost numberless numbers by the count of souls who have been contacted through the books and publications and by the wavelength of the violet flame. Millions, beloved, are tied to the heart of these Messengers. For the Light has gone forth through your decrees, and Saint Germain’s love on that day, beloved, did endow this activity with its Seventh-Ray and seventh-age mission.

"Blessed ones, there did come the Maha Chohan. And as he stood there with me on that day, I did contemplate how those who would come in succeeding decades would purify themselves, become holy and therefore be able to receive not only the Father and the Son in their temples but also that Holy Spirit.

"Blessed hearts, this is the day when you ought to recognize [the seven founders of this activity] and even this very night as you meet in the Retreat of the Divine Mother. [This is the day] for you to make your pact with these seven who spoke that day, to enjoin them and to seal your hearts in that grand alliance of the ages. [Thus may you] bring forward to the present all the dispensations of these years, especially that of the inception, that very initiation of dispensation from the Great Central Sun that did unleash a spiral which, I tell you, was planned to be unleashed in Philadelphia. [For our] purpose was to tie in to the great alliance of minds and hearts and souls who converged in that city for the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

"And I tell you, beloved, these two acts are the greatest in the history of this present world. [The first] is the founding of this civilization on the foundations of freedom and the principles of God whereby two hundred years later there could come about [the second], the founding of The Summit Lighthouse as the spiritual culmination and the capstone on that pyramid. These are the Alpha and the Omega of this civilization."

" . . . I am more and more convinced that our world is in a struggle for power and our mission is to deliver that power to the people. The people have been stripped of their power materially and spiritually, and of the awareness that God lives within them. As I have traveled from city to city, I have seen beautiful people, souls of light on this or that path. It doesn’t matter what religion they follow. It matters that each soul makes the contact with his individual God-Presence, the flame of the I AM THAT I AM that burns within. When that contact happens there is a burst of the flame and everyone on Earth who has light feels the increase of the light in the mystical body of God on earth.

"I do not see us as a separate movement. I see us as a single movement of lightbearers moving across the face of the Earth. Whether they are Greek or Russian Orthodox or Jews or Moslems, it does not matter. What I have seen simultaneously with this movement of light and people of God realizing who they are, are the fallen ones attempting to compartmentalize us with the statement, 'By what authority do you speak?'

"It was the multitudes who received Jesus, not the Pharisees, nor the Sadducees, nor the Sanhedrin, neither those who had taken the power of the people in church and state. And so we expect no great clamor from the world, no great acceptance or approbation. It is an unpopular cause to wrest power from those who have amassed it by ego-aggrandizement, by material wealth, by skimming off the cream of light and establishing their monopolies, whether of religion, or of capitalism or communism. The only people with whom the cause is popular are the multitudes themselves. Jesus was very aware of this. He was not in any way subject to praise or to blame.

"The trial is always the trial that was given to Jesus by the Pharisees and Sadducees on that Palm Sunday when they asked him, 'By what authority do you speak?' The people who have the authority of God within them have the inner conviction of the authority of the Word. The one who speaks with the authority of God is the one who is challenged by those who have taken unto themselves and sat in the seat of the authority of this world.

"No matter how we look at the mission of the teaching, we cannot escape that it is a question of power. Jesus said in the final hour of his ministry, 'All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.' That power of God is not our own but a ray of light that descends upon us. This is our thread of contact and our energy, and so it descends upon each and every one of you.

"The multitudes must realize that the 'all power of heaven and earth' is available and they need not be put down by the Communist state, or the Illuminati, or the fallen ones in Wall Street or those who have usurped positions in our governments today. This is a warfare that is not fought by us. God has sent his angelic hosts, the hosts of the Lord to do battle for us. They are camped round about us. What I am speaking of is a very real energy and a very real science that is very practical.

"I do not consider myself to be an important person, exceptional in any way, free of faults or in any way qualified to be raised up to a greater esteem than any of you. I am not personality oriented. We are person oriented to the person of God. We know that the person of God stands where I stand, where we stand, where you stand. This is the mysticism that has been the treasure of the saints East and West, free of the idolatry of the worship of Jesus Christ, or the worship of Gautama Buddha or the worship of Mother Mary.

"We worship the one God. We worship the cardinal points of his being: God the Father, God the Son, God the Mother and God the Holy Spirit. I bow before the light within you, even as I bow before the Light in Jesus Christ. To worship him is idolatry because it says therefore, the God that is in him is not where I AM and so I must worship in this man something that I do not have access to. The adoration of the light and the one God in Jesus is the key. He is the only begotten son, only that we might prove that we are the only begotten son. These are the building blocks in the play pen of life.

"No nation can rise any higher than its concept of God, and the individual’s concept of God is the individual’s concept of himself. As God is to you, so shall you be. If he is an anthropomorphic god devoid of the spirit, a God of whimsy and revenge and injustice and wrath and evil, then so will your actions be.

"We find that the Lord God is gathering the remnant as he prophesied in Jeremiah under the Lord our Righteousness, and that he gives the rebuke to the false pastors who have destroyed and scattered the sheep of my pasture. I feel that rebuke where I stand as a living fire. I feel it twenty-four hours a day, waking or sleeping. I feel the judgment of Almighty God going out to those who have usurped the power of their position.

"We find that God is no respecter of persons, and therefore within our organization, we must have no personality cult, neither of myself nor of yourself. We honor that one person of God who works in us and through us, and is the work and the victory of that work. To be the instrument, the piano that is tuned, the harp that lend itself to the will of God is our desiring and our calling.

"I see that the 144,000 are an archetypal matrix, a figurative calling of a certain number of souls who have ever carried the light. These souls are everywhere, and we must realize that church is not an institution or an organization. Its meaning from the Greek Ecclesia is 'community of the called out ones.' Jesus was not founding an institution devoid of a flame or devoid of people. He founded a community and that community was of the lost sheep of the House of Israel.

"Individuals who have had the calling and the light and have claimed to be the elect have not understood the essential power of God that is in the temple. Those who have usurped the calling of the chosen ones and who call themselves men and women of God are the leading evangelists and theologians of the day, are the leaders in church and state, are the leaders in the economy. They have declared themselves to be an elite core, a chosen people to lead the people of the earth and they do not have the basic understanding or devotion to the truth that burns in the flame upon the altar of the heart.

"This message is the message of the Ancient of Days and of the Revolution in Higher Consciousness. It is the reversal of the message of the fallen ones. It is also the reversal of the message of Marx and Lenin who spoke of power to the people and gave power to the state as an attempt to usurp power in religion. Communism is a religion and the object of worship becomes the personalities and the egos who take all to themselves as the leaders of the state. Unfortunately, we have the same idolatry and the same vibration of communism in the United States of America with very little difference, and the people who think they are free are in fact not free at all. The people are enslaved to the false doctrine and dogma of church and state.

"Jesus went into the temple, turned over the tables of the moneychangers, rebuked the fallen ones and healed the sick. The healing of souls is our mission with the healing light as it comes forth. This mission that is upon us has ever been upon the Sons and Daughters of God. We do not see it as personal in the personality sense. We see it as personal in the understanding of what and who is the person of God. We must run with that torch.

"I want you to know that the passion of my life is the inner community. The power of God that is given unto us is the authority of Jesus Christ that is given to us as extensions of that flame. The manifestation of that power is an energy which is the only energy that is available to us to work change. And the very fact that there is no change within our government, within our economy, and within our churches shows us that the very people who have been in positions of leadership for the last two thousand years have never been willing to surrender their human personality to realize what is the personality where they are.

"The mission of that power that is entrusted to us is to return to every child of God and every Son and Daughter of God that essential truth of their own innate divinity. Each one of you must become this teaching. This is the multiplication of the Lord’s body.

"My only desire is to worship with the Sons and Daughters of God, not to be an important personality but to be effaced and have only the flame be the directing of the energy.

"We cannot measure a movement by 'who is who' within the membership. As Lincoln said, the Lord must have loved the common people because he made a lot of them. There are wonderful people in this world. Those people are the people of light and we are one with them. God’s children are in all of the churches.

"The ungodly are those who have denied God in you and in me and they have not been content to deny that God. They stand in the pulpits of the world as leaders and teachers and they have disdain and scorn for God’s children.

"God’s children need shepherds. God has promised in Jeremiah that he would raise shepherds to feed the people and nourish their souls. He prophesied the one who would come to rule and he called that one the 'Lord our Righteousness.'

"The Lord our Righteousness is the Christ self in you. It is the real self of every Son and Daughter of God. The one who has the right to rule in church and state is the one who has recognized that the Lord our Righteousness is the ruler within the self, My governor and the governor of my family and my community and my church and my nation, will not be subject to my human ego but will be subject to the Christ within me and the Christ within all.

"The problem is we slay our true leaders. Each time a true leader rises up in church, in government, in education, in science, in art or in any field, the fallen ones come along and ask, 'By what authority do you speak?' This is as if to say that if by chance we may corner you into saying that by chance you have some extraordinary power from God, then we can have you and crucify you, because you have made yourself equal with God and an exception to the mass consciousness.

"This is the temptation day after day, to corner me and to corner you and to corner anyone who has any true light. Jesus faced this when he said, 'I am the Son of God,' and the Sadducees and the Pharisees were going to stone him with the intensity of their wrath. Why was their wrath kindled? Because if he could be a Son of God, being a Jew, so then all of their congregations could be Sons of God and then they would no longer have any power over them. And so they accused him of blasphemy.

"The person of God is enshrined in the temple of every Son and Daughter whom he has made. This is the only religion free of idolatry.

"Remember Christ’s words, 'Beware when all men speak well of you.' The moment people say to me, 'Oh, you are a good person, or you are a good talker, or you are a good leader,' I know in the very next moment they will say, 'You are a terrible person. You are a terrible talker. You are a terrible leader.' As Jesus said, there is only one good and that is God, and we are not interested in the praise of the person. This is the great teaching we have been given, and why the movement of lightbearers is indestructible, because it is not based on your personality or mine, but on the great person of God, the three-in-one and the Mother.

"We live in an age when we must not only declare, “I AM God the I AM THAT I AM,” but also, “I AM the Son of God, I AM the Holy Spirit, I AM the Mother.” This declaration makes you invincible. This is the victory of immortality.”

"Buildings, there are thousands. Institutions, there are many. But the real community of the Holy Spirit, the body of the saints is what we are about. I walk the earth in and out of buildings and synagogues. They are empty. They are hollow. They are full of dead men’s bones as the discarnates and ghosts of the past, and the competition among the leaders is the very stench of the auras of these institutions. The false pastors are standing in the holy of holies as the abomination of desolation. These are the elite who have said, 'The people of God cannot understand religion. They are not fit to rule themselves. We will teach them what is right and wrong. We will teach them.'

"But the body needs a vessel. People must have a translation of the inner goal of the soul’s reunion to the I AM Presence, and that translation is buildings and printing presses and schools. It is loving people and teachers who make those things become real to help people realize God is where they are; but to institutionalize to the point where the spirit is dead, this is what has succumbed to every major thrust.

"When people ask me, “What is it that you want?” I reply: My only desire is that the burning love of God in my heart will contact the souls of light with this teaching. There is no other conclusion to my life, no monuments to be built or wealth to amass, only the fact that you have become God. That vision, translated over and over again, is the victory.

"You must not fear to state who you are and what you are because by that statement is the very judgment of the fallen ones. Let us defeat the fallen ones in their attempt to compartmentalize us. You must have this burning fire and realization there are people just like you and me in every nation. All they need is the realization of the true teaching of Jesus Christ and Gautama and they will be free. God within is the living God in all people.

"Let us make clear our understanding. Jesus Christ and all of the ascended masters are with us for that great calling, the gathering of the community of the lightbearers. We believe this calling will be victorious, not of ourselves but because God has ordained it, because we stand on the authority that Almighty God has given to you and to me."

"Goal-fitting is the science of knowing where you are going. The joyous angels of Christmas once sang Glory to God in the highest, and so now we present this brief capsule of God's dream for the Summit of man's being, whereby he may ever reach for the Light emanating from the Father's House. The Summit is practical, builded on the bedrock of Christed Intelligence. It accepts the best in life, in religion, in science, in the humanities, in 'just plain' people who love God and desire to dream with Him of a better world as an ever-present reality.

"We seek to provide a cup of communion offered from below to our brothers On High whereby we might receive and retain the oil of divine love, facility and peace. By this mutual endeavor mankind unascended may find the road that leads upward, defying the downward trends of gravity, rising gently but firmly at varying paces. For some the Summit provides chambers of solitude for moments of quiet thought, and for others the soul-shaking impetus of God's Word made manifest for today.

"Neither Rome nor the New Jerusalem is builded in a day. Ours is the work of the swiftly flying moments, the days, the years—and even the centuries. The Summit is continually being organized by higher intelligences to open the way for a massive spiritual exodus out of the delusions of the present and all past ages. It seeks the bounty of freedom for every man, either in the lofty pursuit of his own religion or in the coming apart to be a separate people whollydedicated to the Summit experiences of life.

"The name 'Summiteer' was given by one of our members as descriptive of those who seek the experience of total reunion with God, which can only be attained as men will to leave the false landmarks and rise to the very heights of their own God-potential. There is a niche for all in the Summit, just as in the sunlight of truth there is a place for all the rays; those helpers who wish to give a hand toothers on the path find their reward through the Summit that leads Home to peace, progress, and power restored.

"There is a place for those who need help, instruction, healing and an outworking together of love, which transcends the shattering impact of diverse doctrines, religious speculation and casuistry. Here all can assemble under the canopy of one God to seek and to find that Glory to God in the highest which is the summit of every man—the search, the seeker and the attainment merging into self—transcending planes of identity. The veils part and new hope is born as one incorporates the written or spoken Word released in the ever-present now from the Ascended Masters' realm.

"The Summit is a dream of union with God Whom we have not wholly seen, for He transcends every attempt to capture His beauty. The Summit is the dream of God in man, God's dream of reflected victory—that which is Above manifesting below as hope, which spurs men on until each victory won completes some phase of His immaculate design.

Evermore I AM your Morya El! [38-second standing ovation]

Truly it is a day of righteousness. It is a day of returning to the law of God. And it is altogether fitting that you have come to Summit University this summer to be tutored of the World Teachers and so fitting that you have come willing to be chalices for the ministry of God in this age. <1>

I am gratified, gratified indeed! And my gratitude is now a transmission of fire of the joy of the will of God to your heart. I transmit to you joy, beloved, a joy incomparable: [it is the joy] of those who live to fulfill that will. Therefore be seated in this joyous flame.

Carrying the blue rose of Sirius on behalf of all who can receive it, I also reminisce with you this day upon those early beginnings. With a certain measure of heaviness on my heart and yet with a great lightness I did explain, [on August 7, 1958,] how difficult it was to secure the dispensation of The Summit Lighthouse from Helios and Vesta against the backdrop of the failures of many and the burdens that we the brothers in white had borne (and, for that matter, continue to bear) for faithless ones who could not carry the cup of Light.

So I did explain [at that board of directors meeting in Philadelphia] that I did commit on that occasion jewels and other momentums of attainment that I did not care to speak of. Great was the gift of my heart as collateral for that which was to be.

And, beloved, there were so few in the beginning, yet the promise was given for three and another three and a seventh. <2> Thus, there did come from the heart of Archangel Michael
[the promise as well as] the protection of the seven below by the seven who spoke Above.

Now, beloved, we see the fruit of accomplishment. And you may recall that at various points in this movement’s history I have again come forth to pledge a certain diamond and a certain momentum <3> that this activity might continue, even when in the dark hours of the storms of the astral sea the Lighthouse was all but overcome by the waves and the momentums of the dark ones.

The rejoicing I have this day is upon the great victory of many who have surely provided a compensation for my service and a response, who have gotten me benched and unbenched <4> and therefore allowed me to continue.

I can tell you surely, beloved, that when you see burdens continue or calamities in your life or things not moving at as great a speed as you would desire, you can know that I am reaching the limits, almost as though the sky were a canopy and I could not press beyond it. You can know that I have run out of the fire of your decree momentums to my heart and you are bearing a weight that is not necessary, one that I should desire to carry for you but cannot.

It does not matter what day of the week it is, though the Tuesday is preferred, beloved, but [for you] to consecrate a service to me means that not only I can assist you but others [of the ascended host] whom I may call upon [can also assist you]. For I give [the energy and the momentum of] your decrees to others in Hierarchy who also seek the dispensation to assist you. We are bound by the limits of the necessity for you to experience certain of your momentums of karma, certain of your momentums of neglect, but beyond that, beloved, we would bear for you much more than we are able, [given your present levels of application to my decrees]. <18>

I therefore return to the point of the discussion regarding individual Christhood. [And so we come to the] thirty-three-year [mark in our history]. It was expected and, in fact, required by Helios and Vesta that at the turning of the year thirty-three there should be found in this Community souls of Light embodying a certain portion of their Christhood—a portion that cannot be defined by me but may not necessarily be required to be the ultimate portion of the full incarnation of the Christ.
I speak, then, of disciples well on their way to embodying that Christhood, having the cast of mind of Christ and of what Christ would do in each situation.

Beloved ones, I have sponsored souls in the past year who could fulfill this requirement, some of whom have come [to this activity of the Great White Brotherhood] with a goodly portion of their Christ-manifestation. This has indeed helped the record of the service of all who have been a part of this Community.

On the other side of the ledger, beloved, it is necessary, according to the grant of Helios and Vesta, that you make the call for the binding of the dweller-on-the-threshold of all who can swiftly realize their Christhood or a portion thereof and of all of those who have turned against their own Christ Self and therefore against the Messenger of that Christ. Thus, to clear the records of those who have come and gone and in their hatred of the Christ cursed the activity itself as well as the Messenger—this is an obligation that must be fulfilled, for it is a part of the requirement of the original dispensation.

As that dispensation came forth from Helios and Vesta and as the [thirty-third] anniversary did approach, so Helios did speak to you, did remain thirty-three days with Vesta in the earth. <5> They came also to secure the original dispensation that it could be renewed in this hour.

Take nothing for granted, beloved. The renewal in this hour had to be pondered, had to be deliberated, had to be agreed upon, this time not alone by Helios and Vesta but by the Four and Twenty Elders and Alpha and Omega.

Therefore, beloved, this celebration and these dictations are indeed a fact because those below, you yourselves and your fervent hearts, and those Above have worked together to see to it that they could be made possible. Therefore, this is our cause for celebration and congratulations to you and the Hierarchy of Light this day! [30-second standing ovation]

You ought to know, beloved, that two-thirds of the purposes that were to be fulfilled in these thirty-three years have been accomplished. One-third remains, beloved, and therefore I trust you will see and understand, as the emphasis has come forth in the dictations and from the heart of the Messengers, that it is the outreach and the presentation of the Teachings in every form and in the media and by your heart-to-heart and person-to-person delivery of the Word that must give the increase, that must bring about the swelling of the ranks, that must spread abroad the true Christ consciousness that many may walk in. Therefore, it is timely indeed for [you to have made] your commitment to be here at this time to take [the ministerial training] course. So many of you applied; and you who have been accepted have prepared yourselves and you have taken a stand with others who have come to Summit University this summer and with those of the staff and the children and the entire world of Keepers of the Flame. You have held steady your oar and kept to your rowing and continuous action. You have secured a foundation. [It is] a foundation that you have been preparing that this new thirty-three-tiered spiral might come forth.

You have done it, beloved. Now you must carry out that which must be brought into the physical. The conclusion of every cycle is the physical manifestation.

Therefore you have seen all hell break loose to oppose you through many interest groups and spiritual wickedness in high places <6> to prevent the physical manifestation of the purposes of this ranch and of your properties in Glastonbury.

Yes, beloved, the physical battle is being waged. It is being waged psychically and at inner levels and by many individuals unknown [to you]. You must have the physical victory and you shall have it if you continue in your dynamic decrees and understand that this is a moment when you can fulfill that cycle, and its reason for being, of the first thirty-three [by the momentum that you have gained in your months and years of service]. And this [momentum] can overlap the beginning of the new. It is a physical challenge that does coincide with the Dark Cycle coming to the physical octave. <7>

All are being tested and have been tested throughout this year and the years past. Yet some have not returned to drink of our fount but have determined to go away in bitterness and in the gall of that bitterness. <8>

Let them be confronted! Let them be turned back! Let them choose to enter the glory and the joy of the new dispensation and to have the good karma of fulfilling the old in the physical plane, else let them go their way!

It is time for the lukewarm to not be present, beloved, for you must be hot or cold! <9> And if you wax hot, you will have the power of the yin and the yang. And if you wax cold, you will have the power of the yin and the yang. But if you wax lukewarm, you shall have neither, for the polarity of being and the divine dance of Lord Shiva is based upon the T’ai Chi and only this.

Therefore, my beloved, let there be the pruning again [of the rose bush] <10> and let you go forth, <19> my beloved, to the four corners of the earth to be a beacon light of our Summit Lighthouse.

Yes, I have come. And I stand with the stalwart ones and I stand with the weak and the undecided. For at this moment of our anniversary I stand by all, the frail and those who God-identify.

I have come to help you and to give a final opportunity to those of you who are halfhearted. I, Morya, cannot carry you much longer. Therefore, repolarize yourselves to the magnet of Divine Love in my heart and know the renewal of your being. It is an hour of renewal by the Holy Spirit, by the Elohim of Peace, by the violet flame of Saint Germain, by the protection unending of Archangel Michael, who has delivered you personally and carried you in his arm so many times.

O beloved, is this, our Summit Lighthouse, not the love tryst of the ages where heaven and earth meet and you know the glow of a perpetual springtime of love even while the enemy rages? [“Yes!”]

Yes, beloved, sing to the springtime of love! Remember your youth and the Eternal Youth, Sanat Kumara, and his holy ones. Remember the fullness of the sacred fire in your temple. Remember to keep the Lord’s covenant and to keep it holy.

I have stood with Saint Germain at the Royal Teton Retreat and in counsel with the Lords of Karma, yes, beloved, and Mother Mary with us. We are deeply concerned as to the conditions in the world and have profound regret that though the Messengers have spoken, though we have spoken, the threat of Soviet Communism and the [intent of the] leadership of the Soviet Union has not been perceived [by the people or their leaders].

I reiterate the call for [you to give the decree for] the binding of the dweller-on-the-threshold of those of the I AM Race, those who are Americans [at heart] wherever they are on the face of the earth. <11> Let them be cleared! Let the fallen ones be bound! And let this message pierce and penetrate!

Let the people dream the dreams of God and see reality in their sleep. Call that they might be shown in the Cave of Symbols and the Royal Teton Retreat what is the true equation. Call for the lightning of the Mind of God to pierce their density! Let them be compelled by the Seven Archangels to see that reality in a glimpse and then again and again and again until Reality does haunt them and finally they embrace her as their deliverer.

God-Reality is profaned by those who abuse that sign of Libra in their treachery and in their intrigue and in their deception. <12>

Oh yes, beloved, the mission of The Summit Lighthouse was [and still is] to quicken the people of all nations [and to inform them] as to the intent of the International Capitalist/Communist Conspiracy. And as the Messenger has said, its message has made her and this activity unpopular.

Yet we must care for our own. We must reach out.

Do you regret that you have borne the embarrassment of your Messenger’s message, beloved? [“No!”]

I thank you for this, for some would have surely preferred not to have their leader so maligned and ridiculed.

Yes, beloved, it has borne fruit, for the Lightbearers have come apart. They shall be saved. And this was the design of our dispensation.

Yet, beloved, [in unleashing the dispensation of The Summit Lighthouse] we desired more, even the quickening of the [entire] earth, and so did Helios and Vesta. And Helios came [to the July 1991 conference] with the express purpose of seeing why there has not been greater general acceptance [of the Teachings of the Ascended Masters through these Messengers and this activity].

His conclusion, which he has given to the Darjeeling and Indian Councils and at the Royal Teton Retreat, is that not enough preparatory work has been done by our shepherds and chelas in plowing the field of consciousness, in invoking the violet flame and making the calls again and again for the binding and setting aside of the carnal mind and the dweller-on-the-threshold [of the children of the Light and the sons and daughters of God]. Your calls preparing the way [for souls of Light to come into this activity] could have made the difference in [the response of] some individuals, [turning their negative to a positive]. Now you have that call <13> and a mighty momentum on it, and it does work more wonders than you dream of. Thus, Helios himself has determined to further endow that call and those who give it with his power of the sun and the power of his original dispensation of this Community.

For The Summit Lighthouse is more than an organization. It is the Community, the Sangha, of the Buddha. It is the Dharma of the Buddha. And it is the Buddha itself. These Three Jewels, <14> these three, take refuge in them, in the very person of the Buddha, the Buddha whom you see. [highlighted by webmaster]

Whom do you see, beloved?

Do you see Gautama? Do you see Sanat Kumara, Maitreya? Do you see your Christ Self? Do you see the budding Buddha within you?

Take refuge in the Buddha you can see, even as the Messenger has taken refuge in my heart and in the lineage of Hierarchy she represents. <15> Yes, beloved, meditate upon the God whom you can see and you shall become that one.

Yes, this is The Summit Lighthouse. It is awareness by the three dots. <20> Now you know: the three dots are the Sangha, the Dharma and the Buddha. I take my refuge in them, which means I take my refuge in your heart, beloved. Your heart is the place of the Inner Buddha, even as your I AM Presence is the Buddha.

I take refuge in the heart of my chela. Where else can I go in this world? I tell you nowhere —nowhere but to the heart of the chela who does intone, “Not my will, not my will, not my will but thine be done!”—words of Christ, <16> words mocked in the media, as though this will could be the [human] will of the Messenger. It is the will of the Messenger in that it is the will [of God] that the Messenger does adore and seek to become.

It is only the will of God that guides this activity. And if you are concerned lest the will of God be not manifest in some corner of its operation, I say, call to me!

Am I not concerned, as you are?

Of course I am. You must be my eyes and ears. You must make the call. You must demand the exposure. You must be willing to tell the Messenger! The Messenger’s bodies are fully occupied [with matters pertaining to] this octave; therefore sometimes things are not seen or noticed unless called to her attention.

It is well. It is well. It is well.

Many of those who were a part of the beginnings, those gray heads who came to me from other activities in those [bygone] days, have made the transition, have gone to etheric octaves, some taking their ascension, some returning. And I celebrate their rebirth in this Community with great rejoicing! I am a grandfather and a great-great-great-great-grandfather many times over to the same souls, beloved! And I enjoy it to the fullness of my office.

Now then, let the Word go forth, as it always has, without compromise. Let the Word go forth from the archives of the lectures of the Messengers! Let souls qualify themselves as good editors, good writers, good compilers of information, whose work is sufficient and well done.

Yes, beloved, you who have drunk from the fount must pass to others that stream unending. Let the Word go forth, for this is part of the unfinished business. We cannot bury the Word in the napkin <17> of our filing cabinets and think that we do God service. Yes, all words that have been spoken are intended to be assimilated and heard and read as the Everlasting Gospel and to be the dividing of the way in society [in the midst] of those conditions which, when exposed and brought to the attention of many, will draw a certain action from below and Above.

Through all of this, beloved, I thank you. I am grateful this day that we are here together in one place in the harmony of God in the presence of the Holy Spirit, that we do have a new dispensation to go forward. I tell you, beloved, for this my God-gratitude is unending. And I only say to you, let the fount rise! Let the Christhood descend! And may you fulfill the fullest measure of the original dispensation that you might prosper and be rejuvenated and regenerated by the next. [highlighted by webmaster]

I am with you always. May your call come to me, even as you have answered my call from the beginning.

Now, therefore, I, Morya, send forth the Call to all the earth, and by the shaft of light of the Summit beacon it reaches the hearts of all who are impelled this day to follow that light. May you cut them free daily by your swords of blue flame! 1. Summit University and ministerial training. An eight-week summer session of Summit University, Levels I and II, was held June 27 through August 25, 1991, at the Royal Teton Ranch.
It was sponsored by Lord Maitreya and the World Teachers Jesus and Kuthumi with the Divine Mother and the Ascended Lady Masters. Concurrent with the Summit University session, a six-day ministerial training seminar was conducted August 8 through 13. Summit University Winter Quarter will be held January 2 through March 25, 1992. 2. “Three and another three and a seventh.” On August 7, 1958, three were present for the dictations of the seven Ascended Masters who released the dispensation for The Summit Lighthouse (see p. 537 note). In his dictation given that day, Archangel Michael announced that he had begun working with “the lifestreams who shall form the three points of the triangle of Light.” He then promised that there would be three others who would “form the three points of a second triangle, making a six-pointed star,” and that he would also bring a seventh to “form the physical governing body of this organization.”

3. El Morya’s diamond and spiritual momentums pledged on the altar. On one occasion, July 3, 1965, El Morya announced that a giant transformer of God’s will was being built in the etheric plane to “radiate out to the entire world the good will of Almighty God as an intense and divine holy purpose.” El Morya said, “I have taken out the large diamond which I wear in my turban and I have pledged it to the Lords of Creation, that I shall not wear it again until such a time as this activity of this forcefield of good will has accomplished at least 50 percent of the purpose for which it is brought into creation.” Thirteen years later, on June 24, 1978, El Morya announced that 50 percent of the purpose to which the transformer was brought forth had been fulfilled. He said, “The Lord God has returned to me the diamond that I had treasured, given to me by my own Guru . . . You have won for me another opportunity to place the momentum of my Causal Body upon the altar of humanity.” The Master also announced that he had established the transformer of God’s will congruent with the Ashram of the World Mother in the heart of Los Angeles: “There it shall accomplish, it is my prayer, the balance of its purpose, which is to reinfuse the cities of America and every nation with the momentum from the Great Divine Director’s Causal Body of God-government and the inner blueprint of life.” (See Morya: The Darjeeling Master Speaks to His Chelas, pp. 298, 301-2; 1978 PoW, pp. 297-99; and El Morya, July 4, 1978, on 90-min. audiocassette B7879.) On another occasion, March 24, 1974, against the backdrop of the Watergate investigations, El Morya said: “My turban is flying high and I say, I will unroll it as the scroll and the spiral of that Light which God has given me as the diamond. And I place as collateral that diamond of his will upon the altar of God until America is free once again to breathe the fiery air of the Holy Spirit.” In a dictation given October 12, 1974, El Morya said, “I stand before you to pledge anew my Light and the diamond of my Light to Saint Germain, our commander of freedom.”

4. El Morya benched and unbenched. In his dictation on August 8, 1988, El Morya announced that there would be no new dispensations for his chelas or for his world service from the Lords of Karma. In short, he was “benched” until karma incurred by dispensations misappropriated or unappropriated by chelas and world servers might be sufficiently balanced. On August 8, 1989, following a year in which the Messenger and Keepers of the Flame worldwide joined together in an intense effort to balance this karma through decrees and service, El Morya made the announcement that he was “unbenched.” This, the Master said, was by the grace and intercession of Mother Mary and Kuan Yin as well as the extraordinary devotion of the Messengers and the chelas. The Buddha is the Enlightened One; the Dharma, the Teaching of the Buddha; and the Sangha, the Community, the congregation of monks, nuns and lay devotees, the Buddha’s spiritual family. The Three Jewels are recited in a verbal formula, or mantra: “I take refuge in the Buddha. I take refuge in the Dharma. 15. Lineage of Hierarchy. The order of Gurus in a lineal descent from Sanat Kumara is: Sanat Kumara, Gautama Buddha, Lord Maitreya, Jesus Christ, Padma Sambhava. On July 2, 1977, Padma Sambhava bestowed the mantle of Guru upon the Messenger Elizabeth Clare Prophet. He said: “The Ascended Masters come as a living witness to proclaim in this hour that the
