"The One is accountable; not the many, the One . . . There is only one person in cosmos—it's Almighty God, He's accountable. He's individualized in you; you are accountable.

" . . . You have to get into this highest concept that you are the One. The One breaks the bread of life. The One is a polarity, Alpha/Omega. But there's never really two, there's only One. I am you and you are me—that is our oneness; the One is accountable.

" . . . When you are accountable you magnetize what you consider yourself to be accountable for Because I say 'I'm accountable' the universe leaps to deliver to me everything I need to fulfill my accountability. And that's how I live every hour and every day of my life. I make decisions on areas and subjects that I'm not an expert in. I get expert advice; I listen. But I say, 'I'm accountable for this decision.' I've got to find out what I'm talking about, what I'm doing until I come to that right conclusion, because I'm you and you're me.

" . . . And every seat in this sanctuary is the driver's seat. And you're sitting in it. And I hope it's by 100% of your freewill that you're here tonight 'cause I don't want you here any other way—'cause if you're not here by your freewill you're a block to everyone else that has accountability.

"I've always had this sense. I never have had the sense in my life of twenty years or more of service (—it's 21 years this summer of meeting Mark Prophet and serving)—I've never had the sense that anyone else was going to do the job. I always knew it was all up to me, and in heaven it was all up to God, but on earth is was up to me. Never felt sorry for myself if I didn't have help. Never had any sense of injustice if I had too much work to do. Never felt there was anything wrong with God giving me the total assignment!"

"The conference (bestowal) of the seed of the Christ and of the heart of Morya in all of his soul's incarnations is the gift of God to those who walk in his footsteps not by flesh and blood but by the spiritual lineage of the Great White Brotherhood. These initiations are available to you directly as long as the Great White Brotherhood has such an ordained Messenger in physical embodiment."

"I can assure you that this steadfastness to holy purpose on the part of the messenger, knowing full well that holding of the balance of the planet is the sole and certain cause for being, has led her to not let down, to not give up, to not turn aside, but to remember that to withdraw or to slacken or to lessen the holding of this burden would mean certain calamity to many lifestreams—especially the innocent, especially the holy ones who themselves could not bear it until they should come of age."

"Thus if the Messenger be missing from your midst know that she has entered the holy of holies to be consumed thereby, that she might come forth to you a new creature demanding of you excellence beyond yourselves. Thus in her absence prefer to mourn than to accept the substitute image of the Beast in thyself or another, and fill the vacuum with thine own Christhood however imperfectly chiselled out of the white stone of the Great Alchemist.

"Know the LORD in thyself and thou shalt know the LORD in the Messenger. We are impelling you higher. No progress can be made unless the leader precede you up the mountain. Accept no substitutes for thy Christ Self—and then you will also know that there is only one Messenger, one God, one goal."

" . . . You see, beloved, [in this state of consciousness you] therefore make the demand that the Messenger leave that mountain and come down to deal with the day-to-day problems of [your] life. Now if this is the system we follow, and we have followed it for a long time, I will tell you that though the Messenger should be in embodiment a thousand years there would never come an end to the plots and ploys of the sinister force to create problems in the lives of the members of this Church to bring the Messenger [down], to tear her away from that most important assignment [of delivering the Word and the dispensations of the Great White Brotherhood in this age].

"Thus, my beloved, I say to you, it is an hour when all of cosmos demands that greater teaching go forth and that you go forth as mighty teams conquering death and hell and cutting free the lightbearers. For this purpose you must grow beneath your own vine and fig tree. You must develop an interdependence with your own God-free being while strengthening the tie to the Messenger and the ascended masters. You must see that it is incumbent upon you to expand the fire of the heart.

" . . . The gods who want no Gurus, beloved, are the fallen angels."

" . . . Here is a picture of the Guru-chela relationship. [The Messenger draws on the chalkboard.] The figure eight is between the I AM Presence and the lower self. When you have a real Guru in the flesh who receives you as a chela, this is the relationship you have. Twenty-four hours a day for life the Guru’s causal body is flowing into you and your self is flowing into the Guru.

"The Guru cleanses, strengthens, purifies and sends back to you your self. Now that is the exact relationship you are intended to have—the soul with the I AM Presence, with the Christ as the mediator of that flow. You are the quick if you maintain the flow twenty-four hours a day between your lower self and your Higher Self.

"You were once the dead but are now quickened by the presence of the light and the person of the ascended masters. It is a process of awakening and quickening every cell and atom of consciousness. None of you has the complete one hundred-percent flow from your causal body to your outer self. If you did you would have a much greater God-consciousness and self-mastery.
That is the goal, and the Messenger becomes the mediator of that goal releasing the light whereby you gain more and more awareness of the Person of God the Father. You have not seen the Father but have seen the Son and you must see the Son in flesh and blood.

"You must be able to understand the Christ in the person of the Witness. All else is simply our imagination, the best that we can conjure up from the Bible, from stories, from visualization. Until the Christ is anchored in the flesh of someone with whom you have that relationship you really do not understand what the personhood of the Christ is.

The Image of God

"Greetings, children of the Most High. With a mantle of divine perfection and eternal light I do cover you this hour with the infinite Presence of your Father and mine.

"To understand his perfection is to become as He is. To be aware of His light is to manifest it. To think as God thinks is to be as God is: Life, Light and Love.

"Peace be unto you in the name of the Cosmic Christ and by the mantle of the Buddha. May each of you recognize yourselves as unfolding spiritual beings created by God and destined to become radiant centers of light in his eternal garden of ever-living Eden. Peace then be unto you.

" . . . I would like today to show you a little of the eternal purpose using this same illustration. It is true that the coin has two sides, but it is also true that both belong to God. Both belong to your own mighty and beloved I AM Presence.

" . . . Yet mankind know that the mere giving of coins does not in itself solve the problem. But to restore these individuals to wholeness, to a straight spine, to a right mind, to a proper understanding—this would remove this blight from your land and from the world.

" . . . Priestcraft and mankind operating in the realm of greed and selfishness have perverted its purposes. But the eternal purpose of God cannot be trifled with. Only in human consciousness have men perverted the plan of God. At higher levels it remains inviolate, pure, magnificent and glorious, with the glory of the Eternal shining out its radiance at every hour. Through all time and space it permeates and pervades life, and it restores health, strength and vitality to the universe.

" . . . For before discord came into being upon this planet, God perceived all perfection in all life, and He has never failed to the present hour to perceive only perfection here. It is you, blessed ones, who have somewhat failed. But it need not continue to be so, for the purpose of all religion, the purpose of all life is to manifest its eternal destiny.

" . . . Mother: I'm looking for a word. It's coming along. Let's hear the word. Who's got the word?

"Student: We become the mediators for the light.

"Mother: It's one word for the initiation.

"Student: Restoration.

"Mother: Who said restoration? Please stand up. You said restoration. I'm going to read the statement of the initiation in the dictation:

"We of the Great White Brotherhood, we of the light, would restore to man the power that removes shadow, would restore to you the power of the communion of saints and the communion with the angelic hosts."

"That is the initiation of the dictation.

"The contact has been lost; that is why it has to be restored. First of all, we have lost our contact with the power that removes shadow, which is the power of the I AM Presence, and we have lost the communion of saints. The communion of saints is your direct contact with every other Son of God who has ascended, hence the Ascended Masters. You are a saint on earth communing with the saints in Spirit.

" . . . This understanding of the restoration of contact gives you the purpose of our entire movement, the purpose of our two witnesses, the purpose of your chelaship. It takes the Cosmic Christ, the Great Initiator, to come into our midst and give the dictation that announces that the Great White Brotherhood is restoring the contact. This is our whole purpose.

" . . . So this is the farce of the ages: people have looked at the Caesars—the fallen ones in their positions of power—and they have worshiped them. They have followed their ordinances and their laws in preference to God's laws. The result is that they have lost the contact, and now Maitreya in the person of the Christ comes to restore it.

"Once you have the restoration of the contact you have the power as sons and daughters of the Most High to call upon the angelic hosts. Before Maitreya even announced the restoration he made the statement that we have forgotten our eternal purpose and "in the forgetting, your powers have waned and you no longer seem able to invoke the protection mankind knew in their Edenic state. This the Hierarchy of heaven would restore to you.

"To restate this, we see that we have lost the contact in two ways. One, by looking at Caesar instead of God. Two, by not exercising the spoken Word to invoke the angelic host. The power of the spoken Word then fell into disuse and when that occurred, the power waned, for it has to do with a momentum.

"A tremendous momentum is gained in the giving of decrees and you will notice after you've given them many times that there is a much greater action of the light than when you first gave them.

" . . . They (Lemurians after their fall from the thread of contact) wanted the Guru's power but they did not want to give obedience to the person of the Guru. Southern California is filled with such people today and so is Northern California—the whole coast of Lemuria. One and all, they have come back to this point in time and space to meet the Guru Maitreya, to meet the ascended masters, to meet the Messenger and chelas.

" . . . Each time the Guru-chela relationship—the teacher and the teaching—is present all who have rejected it in the past and have therefore been outside of the circle of oneness, outside of Eden, must come into that circle once again and see it for what it is. They will have their human rebellion exposed and they will see the great glory of God. Then they will have to choose which one they will serve.

" . . . That surge of energy you just heard (in the Maitreya dictation of 1960) was used by the Guru to defeat the carnal mind. Your carnal mind is your image of Caesar, and the image of God comes tumbling down into your soul because Maitreya released the ray to shatter the forcefield of the carnal mind.

"Talk about technique! It's a karate technique of light because it comes in suddenly. The fallen ones don't expect it, the demons standing by the chelas don't expect it, the soul of the chela doesn't expect it. That's the great talent of all the Gurus—their timing and their sense of the unexpected.

"Maitreya's ray catches you completely off-guard and does not pass through your mental body, your reasoning mind. It reaches you independently of your mind and that is precisely its purpose. It wants to unseat your dependence upon the mere mental body. To depend only upon the reasoning mind to decide what to do with your life and what to do from moment to moment is a great, great danger.

"There's a higher mind, and that thrust of light bypassed the reasoning mind and got right into your soul and released a response of love from you that went back to God independently of your reasoning mind. It all happened like a clap of thunder. It's very, very exciting."

"It is lawful and truly opportune for you to meditate upon the heart that is sacred that is my heart
in the heart of the messenger. For by this meditation, there is purification of your own heart and the oneness that you seek in the Guru/chela relationship with Sanat Kumara.

" . . . It is an open door, if you will—a passageway clear and true to the Great God Flame of you own God Presence, to my own, and to every ascended master. This is why the messenger tarries."

" . . . These colorations of the aura are being seen now in the new babes that are born and in their auras as they come into the new dispensation that is heralded even in this very hour, that has to do with the great causal body of Sanat Kumara and the mantle of Sanat Kumara—that of Guru placed upon the Messenger by Padma Sambhava.

"And therefore, I speak of the celestial birth astrology of the Messenger that has to do with the signs of starry bodies and far-off worlds, far beyond the planetary systems of this solar system. Thus, beloved ones, at the turning of the hour and the turning of the tide of this birth year of the Messenger, understand the open door that comes from Sirius and the point of that God Star in relationship to the natal chart of the United States of America and of the Woman clothed with the Sun, who does indeed stand before you.

"Look not, then, to the flesh but to the Sun behind the sun. For behind the form, behind the manifestation, there is the reality of the true Person of whom I speak. And the twain are one, and yet the seen and the unseen remain even the riddle of your own life."

"We have sent our witnesses in these end times to witness all things unto you. And I declare to you that were they not to speak another word, in the very probing of the messages, you would find the fullness of the mystery of Life, that you might be extricated from these planes and dimensions which, for one reason or another, you have willingly entered.

"I, Alpha, therefore set my seal upon the words and works of these two witnesses. Let them be published abroad, for they con­tain that which we have directed them to deliver to the children
of the Light.

"There comes, then, another phase of our offering of immortal Truth. As this Truth becomes
self-revealed in the days ahead, let not one of you neglect the study of our Word in its completed form—in its simplicity, in its complexity.

"My presence here with earth in this hour is for the sealing of the vibration of the Central Sun in akasha, that all who have a heart of love for God might read the writing on the wall of akasha, transferred by my auric emanation, and thereby not lose this my teaching, this my Word, this my warning.

"Our love to all who love God.

"Let your fervor mount fervently. Let your humility become more humble. Let your meekness be inverted as God boldly speaks through you. Let your meekness be the magnet as the vacuum receives the fullness of our presence.

"I emit love to hearts who are my own.

"The archangels have spoken. And I, Alpha, have an­swered.

"Be at peace—as long as you are in hot pursuit of the living Word."

"In these hours you are so surfeited with teaching and so much Light and all that is already in store in the archives that it is not always easy for you to understand how much more could be given and how much more should be given even though beloved Alpha has declared that the work of the Messengers is complete. Blessed hearts, this is also a mystery of the divine alchemy, for the work is complete in the setting of the formula of Life but the deciphering of the formula must remain the work that is ongoing. And if you cannot crack the formula, how will it avail you?

"Therefore it remains for the love-fires of the heart of devotion in those who stand at the top of the pyramid to melt with a fervent heat the formula that we have transferred that you might come to understand more of the meaning of the Om Tat Sat Om, that you might come to understand the expansiveness, the reality, the mansions, the initiations of your own causal body, and the way to journey there and the life that can be lived."

" . . . This is why we send messengers. This is why we send Messengers of the Ascended Masters. It is to compensate for the loss in situations such as the burning of the library at Alexandria and for other losses through war and cataclysm and the sinking and rising again of continents. For in times of such upheaval, the great wisdom of the ancients, as well as scientific knowledge, has been temporarily lost to mankind. Of course, it is in the archives of the universities of the Spirit in the etheric octave, but it is generally inaccessible to most of mankind.

"This is partly in order to put a brake upon those who are now the false-hierarchy counterparts of the God Mercury. For these have taken their knowledge of communication and of the transmission of knowledge only to put forth lies and untruths regarding our best servants and regarding those things that all mankind should have access to, such as new discoveries in health and in healing and in the formation/development of the spirit, the mind, the soul, the heart—all things pertaining to the commonweal.

"Blessed ones, this information is not universally available to the people, whereas other things are available to them that are harmful. Thus, the facts about many products that are destructive to the health of mind, soul and body must be communicated."

"Because I stand as the Hierarch of the Age of Aquarius and my burdens are great in the earth and for the earth, I take on few chelas directly, on a one-on-one basis. But I tell you, beloved, I did appear and make myself known to your Messenger when she was eighteen years of age, and I accepted her as chela in this life. And later I arranged for her to be trained by El Morya through Mark; and at the conclusion of that training, I did place upon her the mantle of Messenger."

"By his flame I AM called forth, and many cosmic beings have come, because Saint Germain has laid down his life, his causal body, his light momentum that you might receive the impartation of the Word. Even the training of these Messengers is a dispensation of El Morya and Saint Germain that the Word might be continued, that mankind might have renewed opportunity from the hand of Portia and her cosmic flame of Justice."

"I come in this new day of the ninth of April. I come, beloved, for on this day your Messenger did receive even the flame and the signet as ring of the Mother of the Flame for all Keepers of the Flame, truly the mantle of the Mother of the World. Thus it is significant that in the quadrant of the spring equinox the Light did descend for the incarnation of Christ the Lord, and so it comes forth for the conception of the Divine Manchild within you.

"I come, then, with the command of El Morya: 'Become who thou art! Become what thou art.' Just beyond this veil, just beyond this place of limitation, karmic limitation, is the reality of the son,
the daughter of God.

" . . . Hence we sponsor and continue to sponsor the office of our Messenger wearing the mantle of the World Mother. May it be so, beloved, for I tell you, it is this mantle that has been mocked. And though Jesus the Christ, the embodiment of all Truth, did preach East and West on the principle of woman as 'the mother of the universe,' this very term has been applied to this Messenger so mockingly that she herself has no longer proclaimed openly that mantle.

"And therefore some who have come of late to this activity have not even been aware of that date in 1966 when that office was transferred through the Messenger Mark Prophet from Clara Louise Kieninger, the first Mother of the Flame. This office must be held upon earth for the restoration of the Feminine Ray in connection with the retreat of the God and Goddess Meru at Lake Titicaca, in connection with the raising of the temples of Lemuria (as you will find in prior dictations), and for the restoration of womankind to a role of dignity, leadership, intuition, and spiritual attunement for the mothering of the children upon earth.

"Therefore, beloved, I AM Raphael and I shall be the first Archangel to seize also this sword.

" . . . Thus, beloved, defend this Mother of the Flame. Defend the rising sacred fire within you. And let this Community become one of adepts and of exemplars to the nations. Let your names, faces, your example, and your discipleship be heard of the world around that all may come to see and to know and to understand what is the reason for being, the reason for devotion, the reason for the love of the will of God that is a part of that energy of fire that keeps you enduring until you fulfill those things that are given unto you.

" . . . Therefore, let that sword proceed out of the mouth of the Two Witnesses and out of the mouths of all who follow them witnessing unto the eternal Truth. For the divine office of the Two Witnesses must one day be passed to their chelas and disciples, each one wearing that mantle. And the mantle is worn by twin flames, beloved, witnessing unto Alpha and Omega and all of the teaching, for it is the Law and the order of Hierarchy that all must move on in that course and dispensation.

"Therefore see well that the initiations of those Two Witnesses must be taken upon yourselves. And it is well to do so small increment by small increment daily as you call to be taken to our retreat, in addition to the retreats of the Chohans, [to] that retreat over Fátima, to understand what is the calling of the Two Witnesses.

"There are always two, beloved, and it does begin with you and your twin flame. But you may find yourselves as two disciples (whether [both] male or [both] female) together, whether as teams of husband and wife, brother and sister, and so forth. For the Alpha, the Omega polarity must be kept.

" . . . Therefore, from the legions of Light, from the angelic hosts from [whose bands] your own Messengers once descended in service we say, one and all across the heavens: A happy birthday to the Mother on earth and a happy God-victory to the Messenger in heaven! May you be swept up this night in their mantle of living Truth and know truly who does walk among you; for, beloved, you have never been told."

" . . . you must build, rebuild, tear down and build again, for that which is not of the Holy Spirit must be removed and the new temple must be raised.

"Above all, it is heart. The heart must be guarded; the heart must be infused with life and love
—your heart, my heart, our hearts one heart with God. Only love will give you the deliverance of this city, your new headquarters, the saving of the soul of America.

" . . . It is the very necessary and long overdue hour of her withdrawal into the white-fire core of the Ashram of the World Mother to set forth certain teachings for Saint Germain and for Lord Maitreya, to preserve the balance of forces for the city, for the nation and for the earth. You must understand that though the spirit is indeed willing, the flesh is limited and sometimes weak. Therefore, to preserve the contact in form, we must conserve that contact in form.

"We cannot, therefore, allow our Messenger, the remaining contact for this dispensation, to have her energies consumed in the endless interviews and problem-solving contacts with individual students and even individuals throughout the earth who depend upon her yet who would somehow find their own God Presence if she were not in this octave.

"As an organization and as a body of chelas you must put yourselves in this frame of mind: What would we do if Mother were not here? How would we solve this problem? How would we do this work? How would we meet our own crises?

" . . . Concerning, then, the work of the Messenger and the work of the chelas, the Darjeeling Council has determined that the great transfer of light and of the Holy Spirit must come while the Messenger is in embodiment. We are concerned that there be no break in Hierarchy or in the generation of the Body of God.

" . . . You must see, as the years go by and the energies of the life of the Messenger are spent in service, that a moment comes when the choice must be made—to remain and serve or to ascend. That choice has been given once again to our Mother through the Ascended Master Godfre. Godfre has come, then, before the Mother to announce from the Darjeeling Council the call and the opportunity for the ascension. Your Mother and our Mother has said, 'I will not go. I will tarry.'

"Therefore, from the Great Central Sun has come forth the dispensation for life, increased strength and the expansion of all the levels of heart energy, from the physical to the etheric octave, necessary for another round of this mission.

" . . . You must understand a point of the Law in the dispensation of the coming of the Messengers. Our Mother has explained to you that the Messenger is the gift of God to the
people of the earth and all that will transpire around that Messenger and around that teaching is left, then, to those who form the hallowed circle.

"You see, then, you must also understand that with the increase of the increment of fire there comes a point when the majority among mankind cannot any longer understand or relate to the teacher. Therefore the teacher is removed into the white-fire core so that the ones closest to that teacher may impart the flame as step-down transformers in the order of Hierarchy.

"I am here to tell you a fact that our Mother is well aware of. Her survival, her very survival these years, is due to your support and the support of all the Keepers of the Flame and lightbearers on earth of her lifestream and her carrying the weight of world karma. Now you have to take upon your shoulders the added responsibility of the organization, the administration and the dispensation of the teachings. This, too, will depend upon you."

"It is not, then, the karma or the dharma of the Messenger to organize or spread abroad the books, but it is the dispensation and the dharma of the Messenger to teach, to write and to heal. These three, then, must be the all-consuming life of the Messenger—to teach, to write and to heal.

"While this is carried on, the diligent ones will carry the very important weight of responsibility and fastidiousness to detail of legal matters, financial matters and the very matter of establishing this headquarters in Los Angeles. Taking the Messenger’s energies for these matters is an excruciating experience and I will tell you why.

"The Messenger’s mission is in the etheric octave; in that octave, she lives. To descend to the plane of the mental body, the emotional body or the physical body is definitely painful. I can tell you this from my own experience in the final years of my life and even as I live in the body of this Messenger today.

"Therefore, you see, to bring forth the light of the teachings of the Ascended Masters, to anchor them through the sacred fire, through the etheric body, is the mission of the Messenger. To those who have the capacity at the mental level is given the opportunity to organize the teachings, to codify them, to prepare them for publication and to surround the Messenger with an open door to all of the necessary avenues for the fulfillment of the Word.

"If the Messenger is allowed to fulfill the next cycle and if you fulfill your part, then the world will have the necessary teaching for this two-thousand-year dispensation and beyond sealed in its archives. Think of this. It behooves all who hear my words to consider, how can I do the job that was formerly done by the Messenger? What can I do to play my part so that she is free to live in the etheric octave?

" . . . But I can tell you that when you stand upon Horeb’s height, upon Mount Sinai, to receive the commandments of the Lord and you hear the cries and the concerns of the children of Israel, and their betrayals and their depressions and their arguments and their gossip echo up the side of the mountain, in your heart, as a Messenger, you are torn.

"You are concerned. You say to yourself, 'Will they survive for the period of my going within? Will they survive for the time it takes me to receive the Word, to write it down and to come down from the mountain?'

"Can you take the vision from my third eye that I extend to you in a very intense action in this moment? Can you take my vision and Morya’s vision of the future of this activity? Can you take that vision, then, and not count the hours of sacrifice or of waiting—waiting for that teaching to be delivered in its perfected form? ['Yes!']

"I thank you and I pause now to give you a certain initiation of the third eye. This initiation is for the removal of skeins and veils of selfishness that cover the eye. I ask you to give seriously the invocation of the Mother for the overcoming of the misuses of the third-eye chakra, for you see, when you have the vision of the victory, you are unflinching and you remove yourself from the pettiness of argument, self-concern or justification of the behavior patterns in which you may engage.

"The very necessary action, then, of the clearing of the opposition to the third eye must precede an increase in the opening of the heart chakra. The energies of the heart chakra are very powerful and we cannot expand the heart chakra when you still have untransmuted substance of the third eye, for they work hand in hand. In fact, if you allow any of your chakras to be laggards in the race for the victory, you are hindering the expansion of the flame of the heart.

" . . . So we have said in deliberation with the Lords of Karma, 'Let the Summit University students, with joy in overcoming, perform their own clearances. Let them be relieved of that weight of misqualified energy by their own individual attainment.'

"The Lord Buddha and the Lords of Karma cannot sponsor the Mother taking upon herself these energies because of the number of individuals who have misused the light. The light that is given to each chela in our university is the very light of the Body and Blood of the Messenger unascended and the Messenger ascended. It is the literal transfer of our life to you.

"Some have taken that life and then have turned around and used it against our embodied self. They have taken that large increment of fire so generously and abundantly given and qualified it with hatred of the Messenger, condemnation, gossip and all types of lies spoken in the very midst of their own astral creation.

"These, then, have wielded enormous energies against the Messenger; for, you see, they wielded the Messenger’s own energy, and until that energy ran out they qualified it with a full fury of hatred, as they had within them the energy, even the momentum of light of the teacher.

"You see, then, why the Masters of the Himalayas go into retreat and into the caves, why they leave their bodies for extended periods and allow only a few chosen chelas to surround them in a given lifetime. It is because they are endowing and investing their chelas with their very life.

"They know that the power conveyed is a power that also may be misqualified and misused against their very office and position, and so they put their chelas through a very intense period of proving the self. Many times chelas must prove for years that they are worthy of the teacher and the teaching.

" . . . We must inform those of you who do not realize it that our embodied Messenger has the attainment of many of the Masters of the Himalayas who long ago left the midst of the cities and the multitudes for this very reason. We must, you must, then, shelter this aura and this forcefield so that it can be the instrument to give you the teaching and healing.

" . . . Now, then, I must ask you on this occasion of my ascension anniversary to take upon yourself a morsel, a crumb, of the energy and the momentum of the world karma that our Messenger has borne that the Messenger may receive the rejuvenation, the regeneration and the resurrection fires for this new cycle and dispensation.

"Those of you who accept the opportunity to bear this increment of energy will find in bearing it that it will push out of your four lower bodies a certain amount of misqualified substance manifesting as toxins in the physical body, rebellion in the mental body, sluggishness from the etheric body and a certain amount of emotional energy from the feeling body.

"I tell you this so that you can deal with it, put it into the flame and keep vigilant day by day."

"I sometimes wonder how souls who are ostensibly of light can fail to heed our warning again and again and continue to trifle with the life of the messenger by their own self-indulgence. They yet harbor, then, the seed of betrayal. For one-pointedness is the only way to win the goal.

"So few by number ought not to allow you to think that our legions are without strength. Rather should you understand how important is God to us in the individual and how much we care for each of you, each one—so much so that we have not filled our numbers with the masses but rather chosen to give our undivided attention to the few.

"We expect the same return. Count for count, we expect direct attention and undivided devotion.

"The stakes are high but it is not I that will suffer in the end. The stakes are high for your life and your victory. We have already played our own.

"So much knowledge. How many people have you contacted? How many have you cared to touch with our light? Is it here, too, that I find the mesmerism of death [to be] the coating of the silent ones who ought to speak at least when spoken to, though they yet commit the sin of not initiating the word when the word ought to be spoken in the defense of Life?

"Sometimes you wonder why you may suffer personal adversity. It is because with all our speaking, we have not convinced you in one-pointedness in the way; and therefore, some karma is allowed to fall, like the snow untimely in the East.

" . . . Some have made me a human god, entertainment for an ego failing. Some have imaginary conversations with me in which I never speak, yet they hear all manner of my voicings of praise. Others do not hear when I speak, and though I speak loudly they do not wake from their slumber.

" . . . I suggest that you take not for granted the masters in your midst. I suggest that you review my dictations, for I have already said all that you need to hear. I am somewhat flabbergasted (to choose a gastric word), for in me something turns to see a chela of many years require the most basic instruction, the most fundamental rebuke, when the Law is clear and plain.

"You know not what you waste! You know not that of which you deprive yourselves when you try us to the nth! And those of you who have eyes to see ought not to allow these self-indulgent ones to daily and continually present themselves to us before the messenger; and therefore, as the Law requires, the Guru then must deal with simpletons. At least send the wisest among yourselves if you would have the cup of wisdom filled with the deliberations of our council.

"When you are more concerned to show how much weight you have lost to the messenger than to praise the Lord and to be gracious in the presence of Uriel, you ought to depart for a season and hang your head in shame for such an outrage!

"You have not seen the messenger in years. Have you nothing else to say except “See, see how much weight I have lost”? Indeed! Shall we subject the entire Brotherhood to such inanities when the world crumbles before you? Are you all so blind as all your peers?

" . . . You know not the price she has paid. Therefore, do not judge. You have no idea of the levels of consciousness or the inner service ongoing. You ought to fast and pray—and pray that the Lord Christ will send you the eye salve, that your vision might be clear and that you might establish commeasurement with your God.

" . . . In the same manner some are entertained with their own self-immortality, often the folly of youth, no concern that all things of this world pass away in due course.

"Blessed hearts, consider: the stakes are very high, the dangers are very great. Beyond this, we do not speak. For we have already spoken and still you pipe your tunes. But we do not dance."

" . . . you may be called . . . fanatics or zealots or crazy or queer or peculiar. We do not care. We do not care, and we will not tell you this day how the ascended masters refer to those among mankind who do not come into the Law. I will tell you this: if we were to call them idiots, it would be a mild declaration of the facts of reality.

"You ought not to be concerned what the world thinks of you. You ought not to be concerned with your life or the satisfaction of pleasure in this life, for it will all come to naught. And those who have pointed the finger at you, the same who pointed the finger at me and at Saint Germain and Morya —the very same ones will be pointing their fingers a thousand years hence.

"We trust that as they point their fingers, their feet will have a platform on which to stand."

" . . . And thus the influx of lightbearers replaces the outgoing ones who have chosen not the Light but the dark sun of Self-effacement. Those who have chosen to live in the shadow of self must therefore understand the beginning and the end of their choices. And those who choose to live in the brilliance of the noonday sun must also understand the consequences of their choices.

"For the choice shall be outplayed and the path of each one shall be known. And those who finish in their course will be a reminder to all of the fruit of Light and the fruit of shadow: one wizened and dropping from the tree that shall no longer bear the fruit as a witness of Light; the other full and fresh and filled with the divine nectar, able to nourish a soul with one fruit for a thousand years. Such is the fruit of the Tree of Life from the heart of the Buddhic tree.

"Let all understand therefore that even as you work, as you rise from your beds, as you retire at night, so all the world is making choices. Be not dismayed or affrighted in the suddenness of turning of events. For, beloved ones, it has ever been thus. And therefore all the more humble we become that without God we are nothing. Without Him we cannot accomplish even the raising of our right hand or our little finger.

" . . . Understanding therefore the necessity for the clear channel on the cosmic clock of your service, you may call for the opening of the pathways of heaven from many ascended beings who also have increased their attainment on the very line of the clock in which you serve in your birth-year.

"Truly you must not underestimate the gift and dispensation from beloved Portia of the Flame of God-Justice in the heart of the unascended Messenger, for this could not take place had she not earned it by service. And therefore, contrary to the judgments of the betrayers whose sense of injustice regarding her office is very great, it is because the Karmic Board and the Christed ones have determined and voted that this is the hour for that God-attainment to be placed in her heart and that in fact her acts and words and deeds have embodied Justice to all who have come to this activity, that this dispensation has come forth.

"It could come forth in no other way, for it is never given to an embodied soul to bear a flame of the Hierarchy except it have been earned by many, many incarnations of divine action."

" . . . For until and unless the lessons of the path of the lonely ones become multiplied body by body, soul upon soul, into a collective unity that never forsakes God-individuality but requires the sacrifice of the unreal self upon the altar, the world will never know the true meaning of freedom.

" . . . The failure of an endeavor of light only occurs when the pupil fails to become the teacher in the fullness of the appointed hour. Some have usurped the authority of the teacher before that hour, before the fruit of consciousness was ripened upon the Tree of Life. These usurpers, then, never could understand that in prematurely assuming the mantle for which they did not have the full stature, the teaching was dragged through the mud and became a material doctrine, an intellectual ethic; and therefore the teacher, only the teacher, would be revered or perhaps the most favored disciple.

"Therefore, it has been the deliberation of the Ascended Masters for many a year that in our endeavor of this century we would leave no stone unturned until every chela true unto the love of our Law, which is the Law of God, and true unto the Path would know that the course set before him was a path of initiation whereby at the alchemical moment when the pupil reached the level of consciousness of the ascending teacher, the mantle would indeed be received by him, yet not by him alone but by many thousands of souls who have seen and heard the Word of our Witness.

" . . . Some have looked upon our movement and this Church Universal and Triumphant and have said, 'What will happen when the Messenger is not here?' Therefore they have taken this as an excuse not to be a part of this organization or activity, for they have mistaken the Path and they have misunderstood the profound reality that in every age those who lead the armies of earth and heaven unto the victory receive a special anointing.

" . . . If you are wondering what will happen to the movement without the Messenger, you must wonder instead, 'What will happen to this movement without me?' For, my beloved, the excellence of life is not the dependence upon a single leader but the interdependence of the many who see within that leader the way of their own soul-freedom and the way of their victory.

Your understanding of cosmic law must teach you, then, that the supreme estimate of Self-worth is never in the outer self but in the correct assessment of the Real Self. And if the sense of Self-worth that you ought to have is used correctly in the judgments of life, you will realize that inasmuch as you are the living God and the living Word incarnate, then the movement suffers as much from the loss of your flame as it ever will from the loss of the Messenger.

" . . . You see, it is the very Word and Life and sacred fire that passes through the instrument and not the personality who is the true leader of the organization. Our Messenger well understands that it is not in the person but in the Presence of the Lord God and is ever seeking to enable you to realize the grand discovery of a cosmos that the movement of the living Word passing through the chalice gives life to all.

"This is the foundation; this is the rock upon which the Lord Christ built his church. It is ever the movement of the Lamb in and through ye all. It is the foundation of the Church Universal and Triumphant, and the success of that foundation is your recognition of the person (the pure Son) of the living Christ within the Messenger, so that you might avow and affirm that that which is in the one is also within you.

" . . . Do you see, beloved ones? If you wonder what will happen to the movement when the Messenger is not here, you have not understood the equation. What will happen will depend entirely upon your decision, not in an hour in the far distant future, but in this hour and this day.

"Thus, this is the true meaning of the coming of the Holy Spirit promised by the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the Spirit of the Lord God and of all who have preceded in the long chain of universal being, which is indeed bequeathed unto those who would follow in the footsteps of the one anointed.

" . . . And if the sense of Self-worth that you ought to have is used correctly in the judgments of life, you will realize that inasmuch as you are the living God and the living Word incarnate, then the movement (into higher consciousness) suffers as much from the (possible) loss of your flame as it ever will from the (outer plane) loss of the Messenger."

"You will take, then, the example of your Messenger. This Messenger, beloved, from the very hour of the ascension of her beloved Lanello was given such a heavy assignment of the combined karma of both twin flames that from that hour onward you have seen her dealing with nothing but persecution and condemnation and betrayal and trials and all manner of testing.

"Beloved, this was insisted upon by beloved El Morya and Lanello and agreed upon by the Messenger because she had the profound understanding at inner levels that this must be fulfilled so that both twin flames could have 100 percent of their karma balanced [by the time she should complete her mission]. Since the ascension of the beloved Mark occurred at an early age in his lifetime, [100 percent of] his karma had not been balanced; and therefore, she was given the assignment of [balancing the remaining 49 percent of] her karma and [of facilitating by her lifetime service] his [balancing of his] karma [from inner levels].

"Understand, then, beloved, that there does come a gentle smile to her lips when she hears people saying, 'There must be something the matter with her and with this organization, because we are not so persecuted, we are not so burdened, we are not so condemned by the public.' Well, beloved ones, it is for a cause. And I can tell you, knowing this heart, that the Messenger will not stop when the completion of the karma of her ascended twin flame is through. She will continue to assist you in balancing your karma because it is the urgency of the hour.

"Now understand, beloved, how those of us who are enlightened may also have tears, may also have a certain solemnity and a certain soberness when we observe chelas who simply do not quite 'get it.'

"They do not quite understand that this is a moment in eternity when all things can be fulfilled, and it is simply not worth it to turn aside from the greatest challenge and the most difficult [test] and the most intense [initiation]! It is simply not the [time] to make the choice to take the lesser path! Believe me, I know it. I know it from many lifetimes and so do you."

" . . . it has been decided by the Knight Commander, by Jesus the Christ, and by the Darjeeling Council that the Great Whjite Brotherhood should vest the authority of the Vicar of Christ and the head of the true Church, the Church Universal and Triumphant, in the Mother of the Flame."

"I would speak to you, then, of your office of chela.

"The office of chela we diagram on the Chart as the lower figure. The chela is the one in whom there blazes a literal furnace of violet flame as is depicted—one striving on the Path, one who is dedicated to make his temple the temple of the living God, and of the Father, the Mighty I AM Presence, and of the Son descending.

"The chela is the striving one.

"Thus, we consider all who defend our Teaching and our Messenger and who are faithful in the service we have outlined to be a part of that level and that hierarchy. The office waits and you may so qualify yourself by intense calls to the violet flame and the will of God and the request that you have revealed to you what are those things which must shortly be passed into the flame for you to know the true protection of the mantle of chela.

" . . . Now, beloved hearts, let us look at what the office of Guru, the office of the one who must embody the I AM THAT I AM for the community, does entail. The consciousness of the I AM THAT I AM has been well described by the prophet Habakkuk as the LORD God revealed it to him and as he said, 'Thou art of too pure eyes to behold iniquity.'

"The I AM Presence is the Spirit of God immutable—absolute God-purity, the absolute fount of the perception only of that which is Real. It is therefore the office of the Christ to behold Good and Evil both in the absolute sense and in the relative sense, to counsel and instruct you, and to send forth recommendations to the heart of the Father for the release of Light unto those striving ones below.

"Now, if the beings of Light who surround God in the Great Central Sun did not hold the immaculate concept, if the next rings of Christed ones did not retain the perception of all goings-on of the universe, then the central authority of God Himself could not be sustained as the Knower of the All and the One and the Light.

"The just judgments come forth from that I AM THAT I AM because it is pure Light. The one in embodiment holding that concept of purity for you, for the earth, for the community—because of that very concept and presence—can take you on the journeys of initiation through the circle of Light, can be the recipient of the transmission of the Light of the Central Sun in the initiations you receive, can give to you the living flame of the altar of God that you absolutely require for your ascension.

"If you will allow the Messenger to fulfill that office, to deliver the Word, to bring forth the Light directly from God for the healing of the nations, then the earth shall truly have a new dispensation of salvation through the Great White Brotherhood. If you rise to the occasion of the office of Christhood, all will go well.

" . . . Now I would like to speak to you of the application of that office as it pertains to such events as the [media] attack upon the Church. It is the chelas and the Christed ones who must guard the citadel, who must protect Camelot and the Ranch, who must take necessary action in counsel.

"It is not meet for the Messenger to engage these adversaries on their own ground, on their own terminology. The I AM Presence is not on trial. Neither is the Guru. Neither is the Messenger. They are on trial and they exhibit who and what they are. And the authority of the Father for the judgment of these fallen ones has eternally been conveyed to the one who occupies the office of Christ.

"Thus, the decrees have been given that your Christ Self might enact that judgment. Thus, you are the ones who move into action and determine what actions must be taken for the defense of the privilege of the earth to have access to the Mighty I AM Presence through the office and the mantle that we have instituted, which was instituted by God before us.

"The Messenger Lives in Deference to the Mantle

"t is always true that the mantle is greater than the person, but the person has the opportunity to so identify with the mantle of the office as to become the fullness of it and thereby to move on in the chain of hierarchy. As this is true for yourselves—the eternal hope of the open door, the eternal freedom to pursue at your own pace the initiations of Maitreya—so it is also open to the Messenger.

"The setting forth of the Law of the Lawgiver is also this office. Thus, our dictations are not intended for those who are in the world and who have not even approached the level of being student. The setting forth of the Law and the Light and the release of dispensations is absolutely essential, and so is the stepping down and the interpretation of that Word by the Holy Spirit through yourselves to those who must have presented to them that which they can take in of this Word.

" . . . Thus, the keeping of the mantle is the result of the effort of the one who understands and feels the presence of the mantle of the Great White Brotherhood and lives by its Law. Thus may you be true to the mantle of chela even before you receive it and therefore become so worthy
that it is almost perfunctory on graduation day that the robe of the graduate becomes the mantle of chela.

"It is the same for those striving for the office of Christ. It is the imitation of Christ, it is the practice of the Presence of Christ that establishes in your life not only the reverence for that mantle which is shortly coming upon you, but also the respect for the officeholder who does already wear the mantle.

" . . . Thus, understand that this mantle must be worn by someone in physical embodiment, and the mantle of Christ must be worn by the many. But when the disciples became apostles, as spokesmen of Christ, they wore his mantle of Christ and they moved in the Spirit of the Christ consciousness. Even though from time to time there may have been error in their expression or in their doctrine, they had to receive the mantle in order to do the work of the Lord—and the Lord is the I AM THAT I AM. Thus, [in logical progression] the Christed ones are becoming the embodiment of the Great God who is Guru.

" . . . Now, I trust you will understand that it is necessary for those striving in this order of hierarchy to volunteer and apply to become what we will call Elders of the Church—Elders, then, applying as a word that refers to the elder brothers and sisters who are the Ascended Masters. The Elders of the Church may consist of those who are in a position to make decisions, to give counsel, to defend the Church, to be its spokesmen, and to be those who determine the security of the Word, the Work, the chela, the staff, and the Messenger.

"I ask you to consider that a council of such elders ought to be acting in concerted fashion in this hour to defend the posture and position of this organization and should submit its deliberations and advice to the Messenger in order that these proposals might receive the higher guidance of our counsel, the wisdom, and the necessary caution which we would convey.

"I, beloved ones, counsel you, then, as your Chief that when this circle is formed, I will place the circle of the Darjeeling Council with you, and those of you who have not attained necessarily to the fullness of the office may indeed have access to those who do in a circle of Light and in a devotion to the decrees to the Holy Christ Self."

"Therefore I would speak to you of my plans for God’s Messenger, my twin flame and your Guru present with you. I would tell you, beloved, that your Messenger may at this or any time maintain the embodiment of the Dharmakaya, which is the I AM THAT I AM, the I AM Presence and the Causal Body.

"This is the proper level and focal point for a Guru. Retaining that position of attunement, the Messenger, then, may hold the ultimate balance for each and every one of you. This is the lawful office that she must bear.

"I have come today to tell you that some among you, and ofttimes many among you, by various ways and means insist upon pulling down the Messenger not only to the level of the Christ Self but to the level of your own human consciousness. This, then, does deprive you of the highest fulcrum and balance of Power, Wisdom and Love that the Messenger could afford you.

"It is no longer a time when you should think that it is necessary for the Messenger to be involved in all particulars of your life. It is a time, beloved, when you must rise to the level of your Christhood that you might walk and talk with her and receive those teachings and disciplines that the disciples received from Jesus as he walked with them on the road to Emmaus.

"I come, therefore, this day in the heart of Sanat Kumara, in the heart of the [six o’clock] line of the Mother to liberate the Messenger. And I ask you to join me in this liberation and I ask you, those among you here and in the field who have the qualifications, to rise up and take positions of responsibility in this Community here in Montana and throughout the world, knowing that if you are not qualified for a job, you can qualify yourselves, you can study, you can burn the midnight oil learning how to be the very best person who is needed for the situation at hand.

" . . . Blessed ones, realize that there is a permanent enmity between the Guru, the Messenger, and your own untransmuted self, your carnal mind and dweller-on-the-threshold. Thus there is ever the war going on in your members. Either you bind and defeat and put beneath your feet that lesser consciousness, else it will use you as a tool to exercise its tyranny over the Messenger, saying, “I will only speak to the Messenger and no one else will do. I will only accept the Messenger’s word and no one else’s.

” . . . Blessed ones, this combination of our chelas staunch worldwide, of ourselves ascended, and the Messenger betwixt—this is the unbeatable combination and the forces of Darkness know it. And therefore they have tried every trick and ploy, through whomever and whatever situation they can activate, to put down this Church, to embroil our best servants in fighting legal and financial battles."
